Machine Learning Engineer

Location: remote/hybrid

Emissium now has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team and be at the heart of our software development strategy!

 

In this role, you will lead all the processes from data storage, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training models and deploying them to production.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Help build AI models to achieve an outstanding level of performance.

  • Explore and visualize data, recognize patterns and build models to be deployed in the real world.

  • Verify data quality, end/or ensure it via data cleaning, define data validation strategies, and augmentation pipelines.

  • Define preprocessing or feature engineering and tune hyperparameters.

  • Monitor, analyze and improve the performance of the models.

What you bring to the team:

 

  • A natural and collaborative person, who is passionate about artificial intelligence and stays up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.

  • Interested in and thoughtful about the impacts of AI technology on society, especially on the energy transition.

  • 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience with a demonstrated interest in ML.

  • Ability to own problems end-to-end, with a willingness to pick up whatever knowledge is missing to get the job done.

  • Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

  • Experience with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and pandas.

  • Ability to work with BigData, from binary (HDF5) to more structured data (JSON, petastorm).

  • Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets.

  • Ability to select hardware to run ML models with the required latency and choose the best deployment strategy.
