(Junior) Market Simulation

In this role, you will help us create and simulate an environmental market associated with electricity.
Your responsibilities:

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, and environmental experts to design and develop a dynamic, real-time market simulation tool for certificates (e.g. carbon certificates).

Develop a simple and intuitive user interface for the simulation tool, ensuring usability and a seamless user experience.

Implement the required functionality using appropriate programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, R, or MS Excel.

Work closely with data scientists to integrate economic models and algorithms into the simulation tool.

Conduct data analysis and modelling to support the development and refinement of the simulation tool.

Ensure the tool accurately represents market dynamics, environmental factors, and financial implications related to (carbon) certificates.

Collaborate with finance professionals to incorporate financial calculations and metrics into the simulation tool.

Perform testing and debugging of the simulation tool to identify and resolve any issues or errors.

Assist in documenting the technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant documentation for the simulation tool.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in carbon markets, renewable energy, finance, and simulation technologies.
What you bring to the team:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, finance, environmental economics, or a related field.

Advanced use of programming languages such as Python, R.

Understanding of data analysis, modelling, statistical techniques, and financial calculations.

Experience developing user interfaces and a keen eye for usability and design aesthetics.

Knowledge of environmental economics and carbon markets is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and collaborative team environment.

Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts and ideas effectively.
