Achieving net zero emissions by mid-century is crucial to prevent the worst impacts of climate change. Companies are responsible for a significant portion of global electricity emissions, with purchased energy accounting for an average of 43% of their total emissions. Our vision is to bring the most reliable and actionable electricity data, that allows drastically reducing this number.

Rafael Castro Amoedo, PhD
"Good data is the pillar of modern society."
Rafael believes in the capacity of decision-makers to take the right environmental decisions if reliable data is available. A challenge he has taken to heart during his career, developing decision-making methodologies and optimization tools for industries.
At Emissium, Rafael leads the way in the vision and strategy, working with customers and partners, and promoting Emissium in events.

Alessio Santecchia, PhD

Alessio's resounding belief serves as a clarion call to the indispensable role of environmental acumen in electrical grids.
Dedicated to revolutionizing energy systems, orchestrating grid digitalization, and driving software development, Alessio is a Ph.D. graduate from EPFL.
His pioneering work spearheaded the path towards a 100% renewable Europe, shaping it through innovative transmission expansion schemes and optimal energy system design.
At Emissium, as CTO, Alessio leads the charge for a sustainable future, leveraging cutting-edge technology and harnessing the power of clean energy.

Industrial advisor
Dr. Georges Darbellay is the Head of Innovatioon at Oiken, an energy producer and distributor active in Valais, Switzerland.
He counts with decades of industrial experience, a deep knowledge of power grids, and multiple contacts across Switzerland and Europe.
Prof. Dr. Manuele Margni
LCA expert and advisor
Manuele Margni is full Professor in the Mathematical and Industrial Engineering department at Polytechnique Montréal and
co-holder of the International Life Cycle Chair at the CIRAIG. Manuele is the former chairman of the board at Quantis.
He is an internationally recognized expert in LCA, environmental modelling and the development of sustainability metrics.
